Dignity, honesty, frugality, humane management
Our values
These values apply to our solutions, teams, suppliers and customers. They do not decorate the website. They decide what we agree to do.
Human dignity
The person before the file
A business is a place of life as much as a place of production. We refuse content and practices that humiliate, stir up hatred, or treat someone as a means to an end.
In IT, dignity has concrete consequences. A person’s data is not a raw material. Support staff often speak to someone who is worried: we answer clearly, without making them feel ignorant. A tool that is hard to understand is no proof of seriousness.
Customs differ. So do the ways people greet, decide and show respect. We learn those ways. The test is the same everywhere: is this person being treated as a person?
Diversity of nationalities and customs
We respect the diversity of nationalities and customs. Nobody has to erase their way of life to work with us, or to be a customer, partner or colleague.
The company observes complete neutrality in political and religious matters. It runs no campaigns, takes no side in political or religious debates, and manages no political, philosophical or religious content. Neutrality protects trust. Respect for customs protects people. Both are required in every subsidiary.
Honesty
Saying what is, including the limits
We describe a solution by what it lets you do. We also say when it is not the right choice. A sales page can be true: it states the scope, the price where it is public, the response time, and the country where the data lives.
Honesty also applies inside the company. A difficulty is spoken about. A mistake is corrected and acknowledged. We do not promise absolute protection, automatic growth, or effortless management.
This frankness is how we reach very different audiences. A clear commitment can be translated. A vague phrase cannot.
Respect for the environment
Consume little, keep things long, choose energy with care
We pay attention to resources: money, materials, electricity, human attention. The most useful step is often not to produce one more piece of software.
In practice, this means:
- designing only what is missing;
- making equipment last, repairing it, reusing it;
- avoiding decorative features that weigh down pages, backups and servers;
- choosing, where genuinely possible, hosting that is careful about its energy, including renewable energy;
- preferring well-organised data to data duplicated for no reason.
We treat this care as a daily discipline. We do not turn it into a label.
Humane management
The same principles in every country
Our management is inspired by the “liberated company” approach. Put simply: trust is the starting point, responsibility comes with freedom, and decisions are made as close as possible to the people doing the work.
This principle is the same in France, in Mauritius and in every other subsidiary. Labour laws change, and so do habits. We respect them. We do not carry a French rulebook to impose elsewhere, nor the other way round. What travels is respect.
In everyday life, it looks like this:
- less needless control, a clearer framework;
- the right to say a workload is too heavy;
- visible recognition of work well done;
- rules that protect people rather than rules that watch them;
- leadership that serves teams, and teams that serve customers with pride.
Stress goes down when work has meaning, when it is safe to speak, and when everyone knows what is expected of them. We also train leaders in this kind of attention. It is the subject of our seminars.
Trust first
France · Mauritius · Elsewhere
Same positions, same pay
Women and men have access to the same positions. For the same position, the pay is the same. This rule applies at hiring, throughout people’s work, and in every country where the group operates.
Nationality, custom and the subsidiary’s country do not change this equality. No subsidiary has its own pay scale by sex.
Remote work, encouraged
Pioneer Humani encourages remote work. A person can contribute from the place that lets them work well, in France, in Mauritius or elsewhere, as long as the job and data security allow it.
Remote work does not distance anyone from the group. The same rules of respect, trust and pay apply remotely and on site. Training and seminars can remain in person when the subject calls for it.
Social responsibility
Convictions put into action
Behind our projects and our professional activities lie convictions that are close to our hearts. Among them: that every child deserves to grow up in good conditions, that everyone should be able to access healthcare, and that no one should be left alone in the face of hardship.
It is in this spirit that the founder of what would become our group chose to support three organisations that take concrete action for others, especially for children and for people facing illness, conflict or situations of great vulnerability.
UNICEF
Because every child deserves to grow up, to learn and to be protected, UNICEF works all over the world to defend children’s rights and improve their living conditions.
SOS Children’s Villages
Because no child should grow up without guidance or emotional support, SOS Children’s Villages supports children who lack family care and offers them a stable home in which to grow up and build their future.
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders)
Because access to healthcare should never depend on circumstances, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) provides medical aid to people affected by conflicts, epidemics and disasters, particularly where needs are most urgent.
Acting at our own level, with sincerity
We know that our contributions are not enough to meet the scale of the needs. But we are convinced that everyone can act at their own level, and that solidarity also takes shape in these freely chosen gestures.
This initiative is led personally by the founder and began even before the holding company was created. The donations are made freely, with nothing expected in return. This is not an official partnership: the organisations mentioned neither endorse nor recommend our solutions.
Out of respect for their independence and for the sincerity of our approach, we do not use their logos and we do not disclose the amounts donated.
Technology in service of a way of acting
We are a publisher and provider of IT solutions. Many are. Here is what we hold together, and what we ask our partners to hold with us.
- People are in the name, and in what we refuse. The charter rules out activities, even profitable ones, when they harm people.
- We improve before we replace. What exists has value. The new must earn its place.
- The country does not change dignity. A distant subsidiary is not a second-rate subsidiary.
- Frugality is part of quality. A lighter system is often a safer and clearer one.
- Leaders are trained, not just equipped. Good software in a climate of fear still makes for a bad day-to-day.
- Sincerity is our common language. It lets us speak to different cultures without playing a part.
